He was predeceased by: his parents, George Henry Urban and Marian Finkbeiner Urban; and his grandchild Nathanial. He is survived by: his wife Judy of Eagan; his children, Karen Urban (Bryan Carter) of Vancouver, WA and Joseph Urban (Susanna); his grandchildren, Johann, Myla and Christian of Scranton, PA; his brother Glen Urban (Andrea); his daughter Danielle; and his grandsons, Caleb and Benito of Carlisle, MA.
