It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Walania of Eagle Lake, Minnesota, born in Wells, Minnesota, who passed away on March 6, 2023, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Michal Walania and Maria Walania (Szymanska); his sons, Jeff Walania and Graham Waibel; his siblings, Wanda Kleist and John Walania; his grandson Andrew Walania; and his parents-in-law, Raymond and Frances Walkes.

He is survived by : his wife Judy Waibel; his son Rich "Gus" Walania (Staci Santoro); his grandchildren, Nate, Allison, Grace, Drew and Sam Walania; his sisters, JoAnn Hall and Barb Walania (John Myers); and his siblings-in-law, Tammy Walania, Teresa Batzel (Bob), LaDonna Olson (Gary), Randy Kleist, David Walkes (Barb), Jim Walkes (Becky), Robert Walkes (Connie) and Roger Walkes (Judy). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to DAV (Disabled American Veterans).
