He is survived by: his wife Susan Abel; his daughters, Sally Akerlind (Jerry Sayler), Mary Wood (Casey) and Ellie Grabanski (Robbie); his grandchildren, Rylie Wood, Kendall Wood, Logan Wood and Cooper Charles Grabanski; and his siblings, Jim Akerlind (Joan) and Jean Akerlind.
