Rath; his half-siblings, Mary Majeski, Gertrude Desjardin (Jim), James Rath and Ralph Rath Jr. (Pat) of Ralph's; his granddaughter Rebecca Rath; his parents-in-law, Joseph "Joe" Stenzel and Clara Madzo; his stepfather-in-law Joe Madzo; and his siblings-in-law, Richard "Dick" Simmons and Sylvia Stenzel.

He is survived by: his wife Eleanor Rath (Stenzel); his children, Jeffrey "Jeff" Rath (Susan "Sue"), Joan Otte (Michael), Barbara "Barb" Timlin, Christine "Chris" Bonebrake (Ray), Colin Rath (Laurie), Brian Rath (Melissa "Missy") and Jonathan "Jon" Rath (Stefanie); his grandchildren, Leah Rath, Naomi Rath (Ryan Melichar), Joseph "Joe" Rath, James "Jimmy" Rath, Stephen "Steve" Rath, Joshua "Josh" Otte (Robin), Jacob "Jake" Otte (Jen), Zachary "Zach" Timlin, Carter Timlin, Benjamin "Ben" Scruggs (Karin), Christopher "Chip" Scruggs, Cameron "Cam" Bonebrake, Cody Hundorf (Kylie), Coltin Rath, Emily Rath, Justin Rath, Ellie Rath, Aidan Rath and Austin Rath; his great grandchildren, Karlan Scruggs, Kiliahna Scruggs, Farrah Otte, Essa Otte, Martin Otte and Brielle Hundorf; and his siblings-in-law, Leona Simmons and Roger Stenzel.

Their children helped on the farm, and each had different contributions to Cletus and Eleanor as they progressed in life.
