He was predeceased by: his parents, Mildred Slettedahl and Lawrence Slettedahl; his siblings, Kenneth, Lars, Lawrence Jr., James, Dale, Shirley, Barbara, Corrine and Lorraine; his stepson Patrick O'Toole; and his close friend Don Maronde.

He is survived by: his wife Karla Skrukrud O'Toole; his daughters, Jill Winter (Mark), Heidi Macpherson (Allan) and Amy Northrop (Matt); his stepson Michael O'Toole (Suzette); his grandchildren, Josh, Nathan Winter, Gabriel, Benjamin, Lyndee Northrop, Avery (Nikki) and Seth O'Toole; and his siblings, Milly, George and David (Carol). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
