She was predeceased by: her parents, Ivah Tjentland and Alvin Tjentland; and her son Marcus. She is survived by: her husband Robert Torkelson; her sons, Michael (Susie) and Bruce (Kristen); her daughter-in-law Pam; her siblings, Carol and Lowell; and her grandchildren, Colin, Abigail, Mallory, Calvin, Duncan and Finn.

Visitation was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mount Calvary Lutheran Church (301 County Rd 19, Excelsior, MN 55331). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
