He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Bliss and Eunice Bliss (Swanson); and his siblings, Raymond Bliss and Marlys Lindquist. He is survived by: his wife Jeanine Bliss (Bogart); his daughters, Kirsten Smith and Juliet Bliss; his grandchildren, Jared Smith, Jessica Keogh (Will), Jory Smith, Ashley Smith and Dianna Ward (Ivan); and his great grandchildren, Aiden Smith, Lilly Smith, Joseph Keogh, Aurora Keogh, Kinsley Stahnke, Vanya Ward, Nikolay Ward and Dimitry Ward.
