He was predeceased by: his parents, Norvald Henry Otsea and Agnes Elizabeth Otsea (Carlson). He is survived by: his wife Betty Kay Schaffran; his daughter Robin Zinn (Chris); his grandchildren, Courtney and Kyle Zinn; his sister Delores Jean Fletcher; his siblings' children, Ferris Fletcher and Lance Fletcher; his brother Roger; his sister-in-law Joyce Schaffran; his niece JoEllen Schaffran; and his godchildren, Heather Heiney (Scott), LeAnn Anderson (Jade) and Lizzy Piepho.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church (720 S 2nd St, Mankato, MN 56001). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 10:45 AM at the Wooddale Church (6630 Shady Oak Rd, Eden Prairie, MN 55344). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
