He was predeceased by: his parents, Selvin Sampson and Billie Jean Sampson; his uncle Curtis Sampson; and his nephew Kirk Sampson. He is survived by: his sons, Joel Sampson (BillieJo) and Jason Sampson (Bobbi); his grandson Ezra Sampson; his brothers, Bruce Sampson (Bev) and Ron Sampson (Gayle); and the mother of his children Sandra Sampson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and many cousins.
