He was predeceased by: his father Marvin "Jake" Stenzel; and his brother Randy "Stan" Stenzel. He is survived by: his wife Bridget Joy Douglas of Elgin; his children, Elizabeth Meyers (Tyler) of Elgin, Megan Hoeft (Kenny) of Plainview, Aaron (Fayth Nitz) of Eau Claire and Jay Stenzel of Wells; his grandchildren, Haley, Kolten Hoeft, McKennah, Lane Wendt, Everlee, Brooks and Murphy Meyers; Colleen Stenzel of Wells.

A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Schleicher Funeral Homes & Cremation Services- Plainview (10 E Broadway, Plainview, MN 55964). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the Schleicher Funeral Homes (10 E Broadway, Plainview, MN 55964).
