He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Eggen and Eleanor Eggen (Bostrom); and his sister Marie Botko. He is survived by: his wife Marlys Eggen of Elk River, MN; his sons, David Eggen, Daniel Eggen (Tracy) of Otsego, MN and Philip Eggen (Beth) of Geneva, IL; his grandsons, Boyd and Bramlett; and his sibling's children, Lisa, Libbi, Kevin, Neil, Debra, Pamela, Sheila and Nancy. He is also survived by many great-nieces and great-nephews, family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in John's name are preferred to St. John Lutheran Church in Nowthen, MN.
