We announce the death of Joseph Turitto (Elk River, Minnesota), who passed away on September 20, 2026, at the age of 90. Joseph will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Joseph will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Joseph will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture his life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Joseph’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He is survived by: his wife Doris; his children, John Turitto (Cathy), Brenda Hafiz (Richard) and Mike Turitto (Trish); and his grandchildren, Dave Hafiz (Abby), Tony Turitto (Kim), Brittni Karst (Jacob), James Hafiz (Kathleen), Emily Mohr (Nick) and Mary Miller (Kristopher). He is also survived by his nine great-grandchildren; and many other family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Guardian Angels Catholic Church (8260 4th St N, Oakdale, MN 55128). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
