He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilfred Zimmer and Angela Zimmer (Robeck); his siblings, Richard, Melvin, Allen, LeRoy, Donnie, Kate, Matzy and Dorothy; his son-in-law Ray Benedix; and also Isabel.

He is survived by: his wife Mabel Zimmer (Weicht); his daughters, Carol Zimmer of Big Lake, MN, Jane Lowe (Chris) of Jordan, MN, Mary Thompson (Mark) of Elk River, MN and Julia Dehn (Lloyd) of Shakopee, MN; and his siblings, Harry, Marion, Kenny, Bernie, Dennis and Margaret. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, friends.
