He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Wirtjes and Sena Wirtjes (Johnson); his siblings, Violet, Iona, Irvin and Art; and his son Rod.
He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Pint of Elmore; his sons, Rick (Linda) of West Jordan, UT and Randy (Jody) of Blue Earth; and his daughter-in-law Theresa Greenfield-Miller (Steve) of Des Moines. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren as well as other extended family.
