She was predeceased by: her parents, Julian Ekern and Eileen Ekern; her brother John Ekern; her nephew Bryan Ekern; and her significant other Al Harvat.
She is survived by: her children, James Lilya, Julie Poderzay (John), John "Chas" Lilya and Jessica Lenci (Dan); her sisters, Julie Raphael and Carol Bergren (Keith); and her sister-in-law Rosemary Pecha. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
