She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Koskela and Sadie Koskela (Niemi); her husband Norman Nicholas Esala; her brother Melvin Koskela; her sons-in-law, Brad Jordan and Daniel Lindquist; and her grandson Brian Jordan.
She is survived by: her children, Corinne Jordan of Mt. Iron, Todd Esala (Mary) of Babbitt, Christine Lindquist of Alexandria, Ted Esala (Gail) of Tower, Carin Scholl (Dean Miller) of Embarrass, Connie Scholl (Michael) of Kelliher and Cheryl Cady (Mike) of Rosemount; her sister Linda Koskela of Embarrass; and her grandchildren, Patrick Jordan (Jackie), Ross Jordan, Brett Jordan (Kate), Anna Niska (Garrett), Kelly Schmidt (Tyrone), Erik Esala (Marie), Rebecca Johnson (Paul), Tina Bosma (Robert), Karl Lindquist (Sam), Jenni Paulsen (John), Mindi Ratzloff (Brian), Andrew Scholl (Lianne), Adam Scholl (Chris Rush), Ashley Scholl (Holly), Sadie Urbas (Dave), Signe Scholl, Alex Scholl, Tania Rice (Jamie) and Erica Myers (Casey). She is also survived by numerous In-Laws, Cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
