Michael Grand Obituary

It is with sadness that the passing of Michael Grand (Embarrass, Minnesota) is shared. Michael, born on December 19, 1958, passed away on July 30, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Grand and Eileen Grand (Johnson). He is survived by: his wife Lori Shaffer; his children, Ariel Okstad (Lars) and Sean Grand (Jacque); his stepdaughters, Norah Laven (Derek) and Nicole Groshens (Cory); his siblings, Georgia Halvorson, Susan Halvorson (John), Rebecca Elias (Gary) and Douglas Grand (Mary); and the mother of his children Peggy Grand. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorials be made to Evangelical Free Church of Embarrass, MN or Bluewater Covenant Bible Camp.
