He is survived by: his wife Sylvia of Embarrass, MN; and his children, Chantel Schmitt-Arndt (Nick) of Rockford, IA, Tony Schmitt (Jess) of Rockford, IA, Luke Schmitt (Chris) of Charles City, IA and Mark Schmitt of Embarrass, MN. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
