He is survived by: his children, Kelli Baker, Emily Atwater (Sharale) of Duluth, Michael Atwater of Minneapolis and Michelle Atwater of Ashland, WI; his siblings, Don Atwater (Peggy Gates) of Emily, Charlie Atwater (Andrea) of Emily, Paul Atwater of Emily, Judy Zettervall, Polly Balken of Fargo, ND and Elaine Atwater; and his sister-in-law Sheila Atwater of Washington. He is also survived by six grandchildren.
