He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Nix and Jennie Nix (Amos); his brother Stanley; his children, Jay Nix, Gene Jones and Treva Arzheimer; and his brother-in-law Wayne Chaffee.
He is survived by: his wife Sue; his daughters, Shawn Nix, Alauna Schroeder (Chris) and Teisha Banister (Jeff); his siblings, Elaine Moser (Les), Clare Richardson (Rick), Edee Johnson (Darwin), Pat Chaffee and George Nix (Dena); and his sisters-in-law, Marlys Mongan and Mary Fletcher. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.
