He was predeceased by : his parents, Ester Hietala and Norman Hietala; and his wife Betty Mae Westlund. He is survived by : his children, Sue LeVahn (Jim), Stephen Hietala (Betsy), Paul, Gail Fuenning (Jon) and John. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and a sister and brother.
