It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Loraine Viola Guggisberg of Essig, Minnesota, born in New Ulm, Minnesota, who passed away on October 25, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Meinrad Portner and Emily Portner (Flor); her husband Linus Guggisberg; her son John Guggisberg; her brother Florian; and her siblings-in-law, Nancy Portner and Ralph Petersen.
She is survived by: her daughters, Louise Guggisberg of Duluth and Ann O'Callaghan (Stuart Game) of St. Paul; her grandchildren, John "Jack" Guggisberg of Anna, Alex Guggisberg of Duluth, Henry O'Callaghan of Los Angeles and Eleanor O'Callaghan of San Francisco, Calf.; and her siblings, Edna Petersen of Springfield, Irene Lux (Nick) of Sleepy Eye, Elaine Breu (Mike) of Searles, Bernice Schmitz (Ron) of New Ulm, Alan Portner of Sleepy Eye and Ron Portner (Sue) of New Ulm. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
