He was predeceased by: his parents, George Kangas and Aili Kangas (Eskola); his wife Rosemary Josephson (Bernard); and his siblings, Charles (Lillian), Leroy (Annie), Donald (Kathy), Gordon (Marjorie), June Flannigan (Harry) and Arlene Selin (Melvin).
He is survived by: his stepchildren, Michael Josephson (Barbara Schmidt), Cathy Rinne (John) and Eric Josephson (Gina Trucano); and his stepgrandchildren, Zachary Rinne, Emily Loken (Aaron) and Dante Josephson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
