He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony "Tony" Gais and Ann Gais; and his stepfather Frank Zganjar. He is survived by: his partner Rozann Poaletti; his stepdaughter Rene Poaletti; his sister Renee Gais Hunter; and his nieces, Toni Christensen (Roy) and Tracy Malkovich (Chris).
