She was predeceased by: her parents, Chris Christensen and Marie Christensen (Gilman); the father of her children John Johnson; her children, Floyd Johnson (Nyla) of Truman, Bennie Johnson, Tommy Johnson, Janice Newville and Ricky Johnson; her son-in-law Larry Tungland (Whitey); her granddaughter Sherry Johnson; her great grandchild Kaylee Cook; and her siblings, Roy Christensen, Jerry Christensen, Butch Christensen, Donnie Ecklund, Ole Ecklund, Marvin Christensen, Kennie Christensen, Floyd Christensen and Dorla Christensen (Porky).
She is survived by: her children, Jim Johnson (Deb) of Winnebago and Mary Jo Tungland (Carl) of Frost; her children-in-law, Sue Logemann Johnson and Mike Newville; and her grandchildren, Dawn Gilbertson (Jim), Chuck Newville (Diane), Wendy Newville (Troy Baer), Darren Newville (Heather), Michael Newville (Kim), Chris Newville (Holly), David Johnson, Brian Johnson (Lisa), Jenny Robinson (Will), Connie Cook (David), Tim Johnson (Julian), Troy Johnson, Jamie Johnson (Cora), Nicholas Johnson (Jaymee), Wade Burnside, Eric Tungland (Heather), Shaun Tungland (Amy), Nikki Tungland (Trent), Nathan Tungland (Sara), Slater Tungland, Lynsay Eves and Rebecca Johnson. She is also survived by 52 great-grandchildren; 50 great-great-grandchildren; and other extended family.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Immanuel Lutheran Church (1200 N North Ave, Fairmont, MN 56031). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
