He is survived by : his former life partner Sharon Stade; his wife Cindy Westby; his children, Michelle Klein (Barry), Janelle Schomberg, Troy Diekmann (Tammy), Gordy Diekmann (Erica) and Myla Diekmann (Anthony Tate); his grandchildren, Brooke Colby (Eric), Lucas Schomberg, Ashly Maidl (Joseph II), Chloe Jensen (Brady), Brittany Burnett (Chris), Aryton Aust, Kazin Diekmann, Daeden Diekmann and Joseph Tate; his great grandchildren, Adeline, Jebidiah and Colt; his sister Ruth Emery; and his sister-in-law Janet Diekmann. He is also survived by other extended family and friends.
