She was predeceased by: her parents, Marvin W. Glaeser and Bernice C. Glaeser (Michaelson); and her brothers, Warren Glaser, Steven Glaeser and Allen Glaeser.

She is survived by: her husband Ronald Hested; her sons, Timothy Hested (Tammie), Michael Hested (Laurie) and Brad Hested (Shalayh); her grandchildren, Brett Hested, Lukas Hested (Karina), Jack Hested, Sam Hested, Anna Miller (Matt), Phil Biendenbender, Noah Hested and Lauren Hested; her great grandchild Peyton Michele Hested; and her siblings, Jack Glaeser (Diane), Neal Glaeser (Kerry), Paula Straub (Greg), Barbara Loftness, Patricia Gilbertson, Carol Murray (Terry) and Deanna Glaeser. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family.

The family requests memorials be made in Elayne's name to the Fairmont Booster Club and Grace Lutheran Church.
