He was predeceased by : his father Lambert J., Sr.; his wife Nelda; his son Randy Zimmer; his granddaughter Natalie Zimmer; his mother Mathilda Zimmer (Hildman); his parents-in-law, Ben and Hazel Rudig; his siblings, Lambert "Junior" Zimmer, Jerry Zimmer, Darlene Askeland and Sally Keough; and his siblings-in-law, Harlan Askeland, Bob Warman, John Keough, Chuck Neusch, Robert Rudig, Marion Rudig, Connie Zimmer, Phyllis Rudig and Elaine Rudig.

He is survived by : his children, Mary Rudolph (Mike) of Hudson, WI, Steve Zimmer (Bonita) of Blue Earth, MN, Kevin Zimmer (Amy) of Fairmont, MN, Ron Zimmer (Dawn) of Prior Lake, MN, Terry (Karla) of Huntley, MN and Jamie Zimmer of Cross Lake, MN; his grandchildren, Michella DeBaun (Joe), Ben Rudolph (Abbey), Amanda Geving (Wes), Dustin Rudolph, Beth Leiding (Josh), Jeremy Zimmer, Delaney Zimmer, Traci Dedeker, Andrea Westlund (Cody), Landon Zimmer, Logan Zimmer and Ryan Zimmer (Rayauna); his great grandchildren, Brody, Chase Rudolph, Colten, Cash Rudolph, James, Jora Geving, Jaiden, Gabby, Saige, Mollie Leiding, Maddie, Noah Zimmer, Parker, Addalyn, Jack Westlund, Eliana and Leia Zimmer; his sisters, Marlys Warman of St Paul, MN, Angela Brinkman (Joe) of Seven Bays, WA, Bonnie Larson of Swea City, IA and Mary Jo Neusch of Fairmont, MN; his sister-in-law Carol Zimmer of Fairmont, MN; and also Luca.
