He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Jane Bolton Gladfelter and Paul Henry Gladfelter, Sr.; his brother Arthur Gladfelter; his granddaughter Jennifer Annis; and his children-in-law, Lynn Gladfelter and Bill Chiat.
He is survived by: his wife Cathie Hess; his sons, Jeffrey (Jody) of Chaska, MN, James of Napa, California, David (Anne) of Arvada, CO and Richard (Kimberly) of Sunnydale, CA.; his grandchildren, Jamie (Pete), Megan (Eoin), Joshua (Brittany), Jacob (Carley), Jianna, Kaylie, Jared and Justin; his great grandchildren, Logan, Samantha, Alexandra, Patrick, James, Bridger, Brooks and Bennett; and his sisters-in-law, Mary Currie (James) and Betty Stein (John).
