He was predeceased by : his parents, Harold Miles and Edythe Miles (Rachac); his wife Diane Miles; his brother Bill Miles; his in-laws, Peter and Arlene Grabinoski; and his siblings-in-law, Ronald Grabinoski and Phyllis Miles.

He is survived by : his children, Lon Miles (Athena) of East Bethel, MN, Kandi Menne (Tom Donnelly) of Fairmont, MN, Todd Miles (Kathy Brix) of Mankato, MN and Margo Larsen (Darryl) of Mankato, MN; and his niece Robin Miles. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other extended family.
