He was predeceased by: his father Harley Witty (Mabel); his wife Patricia Witty; his mother Hazel Hoogland (Robert); his brother Ronald Witty; his stepsiblings, Beverly Pontow and Dewey Rasdall; and his sister-in-law Carole Witty.
He is survived by: his son Scott Witty (Elizabeth) of Mankato; his grandson Jacob; his son Christopher Witty of Buffalo, WY; his brother Gerald Hoogland of Naples, FL; and his siblings-in-law, Darrell Klint (Vicki) of Los Angeles, CA, Ronald Klint (Ruth) of Portland, OR, Darlene Parks of Fairmont, MN, Sherry Turtle (Gary) of Sarasota, FL, Sandy George (Jerry) and Barbara Teske (Michael) of Sarasota, FL. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family prefers any memorials be given to Grace Lutheran Church Missions, or United Hospital District (UHD) Hospice in Fairmont, or to the Martin County Historical Society at the museum.
