He is survived by: his daughters, Brenda (Chris Carstensen) and Cheryl (Troy Shumski); his sons-in-law, Chris Carstensen and Troy Shumski; and his grandchildren, Andrea Carstensen (Jordan Spilde) of Sioux Falls, SD, Adam Carstensen of Fairmont, MN, Garrett, Kjerstin Shumski of San Antonio, TX and Tanner Shumski of Mankato, MN.
He also developed a passion for technology and sound, making significant contributions to his community by modifying sound systems in several local churches and volunteering around the area for various events.
