He was predeceased by: his parents, Archie Babcock and Ruth Babcock (Chester); his sister-in-law Marcelle Babcock; his parents-in-law, Otto and Lillian Hein; and his brother-in-law John Hein (Rose).
He is survived by: his wife Alice Hein; his children, Kimberly Hilgendorf (Scott), Scott Babcock (Sarah), Brad Babcock and Annette Peters (Chad); his grandchildren, Tyler Babcock (Kendra), Nicholas Babcock (Ashley), Hailey Peters and Jacob Peters; his great grandchild Quinten Babcock; his siblings, Mark (Kathleen), Stanley Babcock, Warren Babcock (Sarah), Ellen Blume (Robert), Lynn Babcock, Marlene Sammon (Keith) and June Muchow (Vyron); and his brother-in-law David Hein (Sue). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Alvin's name are preferred to Peace Lutheran Church, Faribault.
