She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Piper and Jane Piper (Headline); and her brother Robert Piper. She is survived by: her husband George R. Howie; her children, Cheryl Melhouse, Mark Howie, Doug Howie (DeDe), Mike Howie and Pam Stadler (Stewart); and her sisters-in-law, Gloria Beighley and Martha Piper. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren.
