He was predeceased by : his parents, Jack Peterson and Verna Peterson (Bartels); and his siblings, Nadine DeMars and Charles Peterson. He is survived by : his grandchildren, Kemi and Alex; his children, Dr. Kemi Adeyemi and Alex Peterson (Kristen Tizzano); the mother of his children Ann Miller Dates; his sister Cheryl Burris (Allen); and his brother-in-law Darrell DeMars. He is also survived by nieces, a nephew, and other relatives and friends.
