He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Stam, and Marian Stam, Sr. (Fremouw); his wife Colleen Strehlow; his son Michael; his stepson Kevin Kotz (Sue); his grandson Nicholas; and his brothers, James and Joseph.
He is survived by: his daughter Melissa Stam of Pipestone; his stepdaughter Denise Benkowski (Tim) of Northfield; and his sisters, Charlotte Berres of Webster, Linda Nelson (Vern) of Waterville and Donna Elwood (Greg) of Owatonna. He is also survived by six step grandchildren; one step great granddaughter.
