We announce the death of Darlene C. Duffney of Faribault, Minnesota, who passed away on October 2, 2026, at the age of 82. Darlene will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Chlan and Marie Chlan (Seurer); her daughter Sandra Kvestad; and her siblings-in-law, Carol Gustafson and Dave Schweisthal.

She is survived by: her husband Mahlon Duffney Jr. of Montgomery, MN; her children, Beverly Siemers (Mark) of Prior Lake, MN and Todd Fierst of Minneapolis, MN; her stepchildren, Krista Anderson of Faribault and Reid Duffney of Faribault; her son-in-law Ed Kvestad of Faribault; her siblings, Jim Seurer of Minneapolis and Phylis Odenthal of New Prague; her siblings-in-law, Janice Schweisthal of Faribault, Jim Duffney of Arizona, Rick Duffney (Carolyn) of Faribault and Char Jacobsen (Dave) of Faribault; her grandchildren, Mike Kvestad (Tammy) of Faribault, Adam Erickson (Jessica Geist) of Escondido, CA, Aaron Erickson (Margo) of Lakeville, MN, Katie Ludeman (Ricky) of Spring Caves, AR, Tom Siemers (MacKenzie) of Lakeville, MN, Sara Maher (Brad) of Jordan, MN, Mitch Dickison (Katie) of Victoria, MN and Keifer Anderson (Mallorie) of Faribault; and her great grandchildren, Dylan Kvestad, Asher, Beckham Erickson, Zoey, Henning Ludeman, Bryson, Leighton Siemers, Elena, Wyatt Dickison, Hayden Anderson, Madilyn and Lucas Danko. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home (1725 Lyndale Ave N, Faribault, MN 55021). A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

She was a talented seamstress and loved doing crafts and sewing blankets for the Loving Hands Foundation.
