She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Schultz and Nellie Schultz (Dwyer); her husband Elton Schendel; her brother Thomas Schultz; and her niece Donna Schendel.
She is survived by: her children, Deb Keilen (Gary) of Faribault and Mike Schendel (Jenni) of Faribault; her grandsons, Matt Keilen (Aaren), Alex Keilen, Zach Schendel, Ian Schendel and Sam Schendel; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Jay, Hannah and Hunter; and her sister Karen Zehnder (Gary). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Moments Hospice and the Alzheimer's Association in memory of Diane.
