He was predeceased by: his parents, Ervin Hukriede and Verda Hukriede (Lietzau); his siblings, Barbara Jean and Roland Sr.; and his niece Shari Janine.
He is survived by: his sister-in-law Diane Paulson (James); his children, Anthony Winter (Jenny), Travis Winter (Stephanie), Megan Strommer (Stephen), Michael Winter and Sean Hukriede; his granddaughter Danielle; his son Roland Hukriede Jr. (Nicole); and his granddaughter Faith. He is also survived by his great nieces and nephews, his cousins and many friends.
