She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Bauer and Valeria Bauer (Piepho); her husband Wilfred V. Chavie; her children-in-law, Patrick Miller and Jacki Chavie; and her brothers, Roger, Orville, Richard and Glen Bauer.
She is survived by: her children, Susan Chavie (Michael), Nancy Kruger (Kent), Ann Kruger, Wilfred Chavie Jr., Mary Miller, Paul Chavie (Sue), David Chavie (Heather) and Aimee Galvin (Troy); and her brother Jerome Bauer (Judy). She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren and twenty-five great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred in memory of Elaine.
