He was predeceased by : his parents, Harvey Stendel and Ada Stendel (Groskreutz). He is survived by : his brother Kenneth Stendel (Janice); his nephews, Jeff Stendel (Barb) of Owatonna, Mark Stendel of Owatonna and Wayne Stendel of Owatonna; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Jennifer Lee (Rick) of Brainerd, Samantha Haberman of Blooming Prairie, Kenneth Schuler (Liz) of Owatonna, Alexis Stendel (Ren) of Faribault and Tanner Stendel (Bella) of Great Falls, MT..

Visitation was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Meriden (2781 SW 92nd Ave, Waseca, MN 56093). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

Memorials preferred to St. Paul's Lutheran Church or donor's choice.
