He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor Voelker and Lucile Voelker (Roehrick); his wife Patricia Schmidtke; his brothers, Ralph and Robert Voelker; and his brother-in-law Richard Canterbury.

He is survived by: his sister Patricia Canterbury of Minnetonka; his sister-in-law Sharon Voelker of Faribault; and his nieces and nephews, Bruce Canterbury (Vicki), Debra Widell (John), Melissa Voelker Plante and Kirk Voelker.
