She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Nelson and Ardus Nelson (Latta); her husband Kenneth Koch; her brothers, Douglas Nelson and Latta Nelson; and her sisters-in-law, Lois Nelson and Eileen Nelson.
She is survived by: her children, David Voelker (Chon Hui) of Marina, CA, Gail Kohl (Steve) of Faribault, MN, Elizabeth Reineke (Rick Perron) of Lakeville, MN and Ardus Sturdevant (Brett) of Chandler, AZ; her grandchildren, Yun Hui Danforth (Bob), Bruce Voelker (Laura), David Voelker (Lauren), Jacob Kohl (Bailey), Sara Timmerman (Michael), Mitchell Reineke (Leticia), Allison Reineke (Kyle Forsman), Ryder Sturdevant and Stephanie Perron; her great grandchildren, Elizabeth Danforth, Emma Danforth, Cooper Danforth, Brooks Voelker, Grant Reineke and Genevieve Kohl; and her brother Joe Nelson (Elayne) of McAllen, TX. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
The Family prefers that memorials be directed to Rescue 55021, Furball Farm Cat Sanctuary or the Dolly Parton's Imagination Library Fundraiser to promote children's reading in memory of Helen.
