She was predeceased by: her parents, William Mapes and Ruth Mapes (Young); her son Charles Truax; her granddaughter Jenny Truax Erickson; her brothers, Donald Mapes (Althea) and Walter Curtis Mapes; and her son-in-law Eugene Freeman.
She is survived by: her husband Gilbert Truax; and her children, Janet Freeman, Thomas Truax (Mary), Gary Truax (Russell Faltersack) and Gregory Truax (Rhonda). She is also survived by nine grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 20 great great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
