We announce the death of JoAnn M. Zabinski of Faribault, Minnesota, who passed away on September 24, 2026, at the age of 79. JoAnn will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Rud and Thelma Rud (Hanson); her brothers-in-law, Denny Moorhead and Willie Johnson; her nephew Travis Johnson; and her granddaughter-in-law Jennifer Zabinski.
She is survived by: her husband Duane Zabinski; her sons, Troy Zabinski (Stephanie), Kevin Zabinski (Amy) and Jason Zabinski (Sarah); her grandchildren, Chase Zabinski, Allison Zabinski, Brianne Zabinski, Corinne Rieger (Michael), Blake Zabinski, Reed Zabinski and Lillian Zabinski; her great grandchildren, Tucker, Isabella, Gabriella, Isaac and Mateo; and her siblings, Gloria Moorhead, Collen Johnson and Larry Rud (Faith). She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Trinity Free Lutheran Church (3426 Chestnut St, Grand Forks, ND 58201).
