She was predeceased by: her parents, Marion Hatfield and Frances Hatfield (Lamberty); her husband Edward Schmitz; her siblings, Margie Yerhot (Mike), Frances Hoisington (Bob), Mary Hanson (Albert), Donald Hatfield (Gladys), Bob Hatfield (Janice) and John Hatfield; and her sister-in-law Judy Hatfield.
She is survived by: her brothers, Bill Hatfield and Jerry Hatfield; and her sister-in-law Janet Hatfield. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Memorials may be directed to Bethlehem Academy in memory of Rene.
