She was predeceased by: her mother Dorithy Zeimes Freund; her former husband Dennis Stadler; her husband Tom Benoit of Benson, MN; her brother Michael Freund (Carol); her sister-in-law Donna Hermes (Jim); her father Ray Freund; her stepgrandson Michael Ryan Stadler; and her stepnephew Jesse Rule.
She is survived by: her children, Frederick, Nyx and Luke Benoit (Courtney LeClair); her grandsons, Leo and Gus; her children, Patrick "Rick" Stadler, Chelsea, Noah, Stephanie Stadler (Chris Forcelle) and Kevin Stadler (Angie Van Erp); her granddaughter Olivia; her in-laws, Benet, Cheryl Freund, Tim, Peg Freund and Peter Freund; her sisters-in-law, Carol Freund and Deb Rule (Tim); Molly Perry (David Perry), Ollie, Samuel, Anna Burdett (Chris Burdett), Kade, Elyse and Theresa Benoit (Jeb Sawyer).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Church of the Holy Name (3637 11th Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55407). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Girl Scouts (https://www.girlscouts.org) or The River Bend Nature Center or to your local St. Vincent de Paul Society, all organizations that Mary Jo valued.
