He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Bauer and Dorothy Bauer (Jackson); his parents-in-law, William and Dorothy Tuma; his siblings, Robert Bauer and Marjorie Purfeerst; his grandson Brian "Freddy" Schultz; and his brothers-in-law, William Tuma and Larry Petersmeyer.
He is survived by: his wife Frances; his children, Lori Schultz (Brian) of Warsaw, Barbara Deneen (Dan) of Faribault, Gene Bauer (Sally) of Faribault and Dianna VonRock (Steve) of Faribault; his grandchildren, Brad (Dixie), Ashley (Josh), Dylan (Kristen), Erin (Alex), Michael (Raelyn), Tate (Justine), Tyanna (Troy) and Taisha (Ryan); his great grandchildren, Sierra, Kaisen, Zaiah, Nori and Aubrey; his siblings, Gordy Bauer (Marlene), Janet Petersmeyer and Lila Allen (Gene); and his siblings-in-law, Ginny Tuma, Pat Bauer and Luverne Purfeerst. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Boldt Funeral Home (300 Prairie Ave SW, Faribault, MN 55021). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
