She was predeceased by: her parents, Simon McBride and Ethel McBride (Schones); her husband Paul Bussert; her grandsons, Curtis and Joshua Holter; and her siblings, Ethel "Vicki" McBride, Lyle and LeRoy McBride.
She is survived by: her children, Julia LaCanne (Duane) of Warsaw, MN, Mary Kay Spinler (Ken) of Meriden, MN, Theresa Schweisthal (Brian) of Faribault, MN, Michael Bussert of Owatonna, MN, Patty Holter (Brad) of Faribault, MN, Kathleen Bussert-Pleschourt (Michael Pleschourt) of Florida, Joy Bussert of Faribault, MN and Connie Krenske (Troy) of Faribault, MN; and her sister Carol Dettmer (Dennis) of Seattle, WA. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers that memorials be directed to a charity of the donors choice in memory of Rita.
