It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Samuel John Nelson of Faribault, Minnesota, who passed away on June 2, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Garland Nelson and Nellie Nelson; and his wife Ramona Nelson (Kunerth). He is survived by: his children, Bill Nelson (Jill) of Burnsville, Mindy Heine (Dave) of Eden Prairie, Joe Nelson of Albert Lea, Misty Zacharias (John) of Medford and Lisa Schroeder (Mark) of Ham Lake; his grandchildren, Zachary, Nicholas, Alice Nelson, Breanne, Megan, Nathan Heine, Justine Boettcher (Nelson), Max, Samantha Schroeder, August and Amelia Zacharias; his great grandchild Dane Boettcher; and his siblings, Jim Nelson (Nanc) of Cherokee, IA and Nancy Medick (Duane) of Ankeny, IA. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Albert Lea Vineyard Church (18358 US-69, Albert Lea, MN 56007). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
